War vs. Japan DUMP (56k deathray)

I took a trip to Japan with a little Nikon coolpix camera, not the best camera but very small and easy to carry when walking all day every day. Not sure if this is the right forum, they are kind of a mix, but they are mostly landscape.

The places we visited, and hence are pictured at various points here are Tokyo, Takayama, Kanazawa, Osaka, Hiroshima and Kyoto. Enjoy, I'd love to know which are your faves.

Takayama


Osaka DenDenTown - The big electronics district there similar to Akihabara in Tokyo. Gundams are big there, hehe.

A graveyard on a mountainside in Takayama, it was halfway into this beautiful forest. One of the most somber, spiritual places I've ever seen.

Drainage is good in Japan, cause of all the snow and stuff.

Octopus anyone?


This looks so post apocalyptic. There were loads of awesome little houses like this around, sort of a blend of traditional and run down new stuff.



The Japanese are seriously big on temples...


I'd only ever seen those trees in sumi-e paintings before. Crazy seeing them everywhere, like a living work of art.

The famous bullet train! The shinkansen. There are actually loads of bullet trains, here I was thinking there was like one hehe. We spent alot of quality time on them.


Not sure where but this is on one of Japans incredibly efficient public transport trains at peak hour.


Good luck remembering where this was...probably Kanazawa.

The ubiquitous Japanese vending machines. No, we didn't find any panty ones.


For all the nerds out there...Japanese retro game stores were common around Akihabara in Tokyo and Denden Town in Osaka. This one's in Tokyo.

I love that bullet train shot, and it's always fascinating to see another country, and I wasn't really expecting to see an Aqueduct like that in this photo set, Under the Aqueduct is great; I also like the architecture photos, the ones of the traditional houses.

Though sorry to say that the skew of some of these photos throws me off a bit, I like things to be in order, I love grids and lines and graphs, oh it's beautiful! I have CDO, you see, it's like OCD, but it's in alphabetical order like it should be [I am so sorry].

How did the taxi-tour go?

Hey I went to Miyajima in 7th grade! I met the US Prime Minister or someone important like that there haha. Did you see the little deer?
You know why you didn't see a lot of graffiti? You didn't go to Shibuya when you were in Tokyo. You missed out bud! Best place in Japan. By far.

I think that you could treat a little your pictures. They seem sad, not enough colors and contrasts.
I think the fishes picture is the best one.
