Aila's World in Black and White

I'm so in love with black and white photography

I'm an amateur, own a Canon Powershot A610, I convert my photos to black and white using the image editor, rather than using the B&W setting on the camera itself.
I have a thing for benches.. you'll probably see that during the course of this thread

Thoughts, crits, comments welcome and appreciated ^^

The one with the bench looks pretty nice. Would maybe play around more with the contrast though.

love the... wheat - or whatever it is - poking through the bench. i've always had a thing for photos of those grains. very nice image. like the darkness in the bench and plants. i generally don't like artificial contrast, as everyone here is sure to find out...

I like the building and the vignette white border do you have a shot from the side instead of front on with a perspective angle and maybe add a sepia tone and some grain to give an tin plate effect as if an old tin plate print like antique photography to give the image some more interest.

pauldharris, unfortunately I have just that one shot, and the building is all the way down in Munich ;D I can try your suggestion with the front on one though, see how it turns out. Thanks!

Thanks RianChen, it's hard to get photos that tell stories, or have that effect.. I keep trying
