Weapon of Choice (your camera)

Come on then, whats everyone shooting with?

I treated myself to some new gear last September and really need to pull my finger out to use it more!

I have:

Canon 40D
EF 70-200 IS f4 (this lens is fantastic)
EF 100mm f2.8 macro
EF-S 17-55 IS f2.8
2x vivitar 285hv (flashes)
cable release and wireless triggers for the flashes
circular polarizer
carbon fibre tripod and ball head
2x lightstands and umbrellas

I also have an old (older than me) Olympus OM1n SLR with 50mm f1.8 zuiko that I use when I want to take black and white film shots (not very often now I don't have access to a darkroom)

Looking to add some ND and ND Grad filters as my next purchase, though will have to wait till I get back to the UK

pentax super program (aka Super A)

I really love that box, but if I can ever save enough money and can bring myself round to spending it that way I would love to get a Pentax LX which does everything you ever wanted and more...

Canon EOS 350D, old and worn but still working great. The original viewfinder eyepiece got broken. The small viewfinder is the biggest problem with this camera.

Tamron 17-50 2.8, sharp, fast, affordable, good lens.

Canon 50/1.8 II, sharp, crap build but really cheap.

2 (soon 3) Vivitar 285HV flashes (yea, strobist

Tripods, lightstands, wireless trigger, umbrella, batteries, filters etc.

For me... I jump from things to things nowadays, depending on where I shoot I just use what's in the studio.

Personally I use EOS 5D and 350D. Sometimes I use 1Ds Mk II, and lately a lot of H2D/Phase One.

Analog:
Polaroid 340 (ye old Land Camera)
Chinon CX-II (from '70s)
Chinon 55mm/1.7
Chinon 135mm/2.8
Zeiss 300mm/2.8 tele
Digital:
Olympus Camedia C-740UZ 3.2MP (lol, i know...)
46.blah to 55mm stepup ring
10x Macro Converter
Circular Polarizer

I guess this means I should put some of my stuff up.

Also I'll admit to being torn between some flavor of rebel and an olympus e-510 (I cant decide whether having a cam with better features (e-510 with onbody IS etc.) outweighs having a decent amount of reasonably priced glass on ze market (canon).)

Hm... I use:

-Nikon D70s (Canons are really good but I have more experience with Nikon)
-Nikon FE2 (analog with my favourite in-camera meter of all time)
-Old school Polaroid camera that I don't know the name of...

-AF-S DX Nikkor 55-200mm
-Nikkor 35-70mm (broke recently though)
-Nikkor 50m
-AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm

-Nikon Speedlight SB-800
-assortment of filters (regular ones + a bunch of ones I found in the basement that I haven't used yet)
-2 tungsten lights, though of the cheapest variety and no umbrellas
-cable releases, hand-held meter, tripods, monopods, crushed velvet I haven't used yet, film, and anything else I can't think of immediately.

I have a pretty old Nikon N4004. It's terrible at shooting in the dark
Cept I don't use it because I don't have any access to a dark room. Also have a Sony Cybershot DSC-f717, which is actually a handmedown. I feel quite out of place not being a professional with at least 3 cameras D:

Although, I do have access to a Canon 5D sometimes, and I forget what lenses he has...

Nikon D80

Nikkor 50mm f1.8 (almost exclusively)
Nikkor 18-135mm (almost never)

both lenses have UV filters and polarizing filters (necessary in Australia).
i also have a x0.25 filter style wide angle / fisheye for the 50mm which is a pretty rough effect unless you can really open up your aperture.
and then i have a handfull of macro filters and extension tubes.

Do you actually use them rose? That's what we started using at the beginning of my photography class at school 2 years ago... we made them as well! Lots of fun. I love darkroom work, but I hate the amount of time everything takes... lol

I'm out of place here with all the professional equipment being thrown out onto the posts. I'm just starting out so all I got so far:

Canon Digital Elp (don't remember which one, not in use and probably shouldn't even be mentioned)

Canon Powershot A630 (got replaced with recently. I still keep it with me if I don't want to take the new camera out)

Canon Powershot S5 IS (my new camera which I enjoy immensely)

2 x tripods for now. Looking into different lens but ultimately probably a DSLR next. I'm slowly working my way up

Im glad people are still shooting with film alot! : D
Next year at college ill get the chance to learn more about film photography!

And I agree with KLIPS, MF delivers much more freedom and old MF lenses are useally sharper then modern ones.

My gear:

Digital

Nikon D50
28-55MM kitzoom
52MM 2.0 MF
50mm 1.8 AF

Film

Nikkormat FT2 ( I just adore the vintage neckstrap )
same lenses
